Connex Education is proud to be supporting a wonderful Primary school in Warrington  as they seek a dedicated  1:1 SEN-focused Teaching Assistant to join their team from January, this role is to support a child in a Y2 class and subject to relationship could lead to permanent employment.

This is a part-time role, Monday to Friday,  consisting of 4 mornings, and one full day,working closely with a  pupil who has Special Educational Needs. You will provide 1:1 support, to help the child settle into a classroom routine, and assisting the child with establishing new relationships with pupils and staff.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing tailored 1:1 support to a child with a range of SEN needs
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and the SENCO to ensure pupils thrive
  • Helping to create a nurturing, inclusive and positive learning environment
  • Assisting with routines, smooth transitions, and personalised support plans

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working with children with SEN (school-based preferred)
  • A patient, caring and proactive approach
  • Strong communication skills
  • A genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential
