Hours: Full Time — 5 days per week
Pay Scale: M1 to UPS3 (dependent on experience)
Key Stages: KS3 and KS4 (all year groups)
Are you a passionate and creative Art teacher ready to inspire the next generation of artists? We are seeking a dedicated Teacher of Art to join our dynamic secondary school team in Unsworth Academy. This is a fantastic opportunity — open to both newly qualified ECTs and experienced practitioners — to make a real impact in a supportive and well-resourced school environment.
The Role
- Teach Art across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and challenging lessons to all year groups
- Manage classes of approximately 30 students, maintaining a positive and creative learning environment
- Take full responsibility for lesson planning and marking, ensuring high-quality feedback that drives pupil progress
- Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, who will be deployed to support students with additional needs
- Contribute to a vibrant and forward-thinking Art department
Who We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) — essential
- ECTs warmly welcomed to apply, as are experienced teachers seeking a new challenge
- A genuine enthusiasm for Art and a commitment to inspiring students at all ability levels
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage diverse learners
- A collaborative team player who communicates effectively with colleagues and support staff
- Commitment to the safeguarding and wellbeing of all students
