Connex - Wales
Connex Education Wales are urgently recruiting a Behaviour and Learning Support Assistant to work in a school in Carmarthenshire. The role is 1-1 and will support a range of pupils who has some emotional difficulties (EBD).
With a range of disabilities within the school such as Autism (ASD) and Social & Emotional Behaviour Difficulties (SEBD & EBD), you will be required to have a flexible approach and have the ability to work with all ages, you will need to liase with class teachers, discuss and implement Individual Education Plans and are happy to work with children with behaviour issues.
This role is to start ASAP and is 5 days per week, 8.30am – 3.30pm.

The following attributes are desirable to this Teaching Assistant role: –
- Experience of working with children with ALN/SEN/EBD previously
- The ability to work with groups of children independently including potential interventions
- Enthusiastic and positive
- The ability to develop strong relationships
- Able to communicate effectively and sensitively
- Team teach
You must have the following:
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) as a “School Learning Support Worker”
- Currently hold a DBS which is attached to the update service (or be willing to complete a new DBS through Connex Education Wales)
- Desire to make a difference
- Ability to provide 2 professional references or a Character reference from a Professional Person.
