What’s the Role?
As a BSL Tutor, you’ll be guiding students on their journey to learning British Sign Language—from beginners to advanced levels—whether they’re learning for personal, professional, or social reasons. You’ll be the spark that helps them build confidence, break down communication barriers, and connect with the Deaf community in a deeper way.
What You’ll Do:

Teach BSL in a fun, engaging way! Deliver lessons (in-person or online) that are as lively and interactive as the language itself.

Inspire and support students of all levels, providing personalized feedback that helps them thrive.

Create engaging lessons that go beyond just language, integrating Deaf culture and real-world application.

Monitor progress and adapt your teaching to ensure everyone’s learning journey is successful.

Foster a positive learning environment that’s welcoming, inclusive, and encourages curiosity.
Who Are You?

You’re fluent in British Sign Language (BSL) and passionate about sharing it with others.

You have a recognized BSL teaching qualification (Level 6 or equivalent) and a deep understanding of Deaf culture.

You’re creative and adaptable, with the ability to make BSL fun and accessible for students of all ages and backgrounds.

You thrive in a dynamic environment, whether teaching in person or online, and are comfortable with technology.

Experience teaching BSL? Even better! If not, we welcome a passion for teaching and a commitment to learning.
