Are you a passionate and dedicated Maths teacher looking for some extra work? Perhaps you have stepped away from teaching, but still want to keep your foot in the classroom? We have the perfect role for you! One of our High Schools in South London are looking for some helping hands on a Saturday morning, to help Y10 and Y11 with their Maths. This will be small group work, with 3 pupils per group.
Position: Maths Tutor
Location: Carshalton
Days/Times: 9am-12pm Saturday mornings
Start Date: September, ongoing for the academic year
Rate of Pay : £30-£35 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering engaging and comprehensive Maths lessons to small groups of students.
- Creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to effective teaching and learning.
- Planning and implementing lesson plans in line with the national curriculum and school guidelines.
- Assessing students’ progress, providing constructive feedback, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop and share resources, best practices, and innovative teaching methods.
Requirements:
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialization in Mathematics.
- Proven experience teaching Maths at the secondary level, with a track record of achieving excellent results.
- Strong subject knowledge and a deep understanding of the national curriculum for Maths.
- Ability to engage and inspire students, fostering a positive attitude towards learning.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Dedication to continuous professional development and a commitment to staying abreast of the latest teaching methodologies and educational trends.
