Science Teacher – Handsworth Area – Start ASAP
Salary: £165 – £245 (dependent on experience)

Contract: Full-time, Supply (5 days per week) until the end of the summer term
About the Role
Connex Education is seeking an experienced Science Teacher to join a large, mixed secondary school located near the Handsworth area. This is a full-time position (5 days per week) starting as soon as possible, on a supply basis until the end of the summer term.
The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering KS3 & KS4 General Science lessons, fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment. We welcome applications from teachers at all stages of their careers, including Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons to KS3 & KS4 students.

Use innovative and engaging teaching methods to support student learning.

Maintain high standards of behaviour management in line with school policies.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the Science curriculum.

Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to support development.
Person Specification
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) / QTLS or equivalent.

Experience teaching Science at KS3 & KS4.

Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.

A positive attitude towards IT in education.

Excellent self-organisation and time-management skills.

An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.

Previous experience in a challenging secondary school environment is advantageous.
