About the role
Connex Education is proud to be working in partnership with a secondary school in Newport to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant. In this role, you will support the class teacher with behaviour management, provide targeted instruction, and assist with a range of classroom activities. You will work closely with pupils to reinforce learning, offer one-to-one support where needed, and help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every student can thrive.

Assignment details
- Work across Key Stages 3 and 4 in a secondary school setting.
- Support classroom teachers with pupil behaviour management.
- Deliver additional instruction to help reinforce key learning objectives.
- Assist with a variety of classroom activities and routines.
- Collaborate with pupils to reinforce learning and encourage engagement.
- Provide personalised one-on-one or small group support as needed.
- Help prepare teaching materials and resources to support lesson delivery.

- Degree qualification
- DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain one
- EWC registered
