Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
Are you looking to make a change this winter by providing the additional support a child needs to achieve the best out of their education?
We have an exceptional client based in Wolverhampton who are looking to bring on board Teaching Assistants to provide additional support to students that may have singular or multiple difficulties; such as helping students in managing their emotions or behavior.
This role requires a combination of empathy, patience and a good understand of a students needs. We would require someone adaptable and capable in developing strategies to meet the individual’s needs.
**Responsibilities**
- Work closely with students who require additional support to manage their emotions or behavior
- Building positive relationship with students to establish trust and a good rapport
- Keeping accurate records of interventions and progress
- Maintaining good communication with teachers, parents and other relevant professionals
- Providing support for students with specific needs
**Requirements**
- Experience working with SEN/SEND Children or Adults
- An understand of child protections and safeguarding policies
- Hold a valid DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one through Connex Education
- Strong behavior management skills
(Previous experience working with Challenging Behavior would be beneficial)
(Level 3 Educational based qualifications (Early Years, Teaching Assistant, SEN/SEND) or equivalent would be desirable)
