Information received and processed

Our sites collect two kinds of information about users:

  • Personal information: This may include details such as name, postal address, telephone number, e-mail address, date of birth and other details to enable user registration for work. You do not have to provide these details in order to browse the sites but they may be needed for us to provide you with a personalised service or access to all the features of our websites.
  • Non-personal information such as IP address (the location of your computer on the internet), pages looked at and any files downloaded. This helps us to identify how many individuals use our sites, how many people visit on a regular basis, which pages are most popular, and so on… This information doesn’t tell us anything about who you are or where you live, it just lets us keep an eye on things so we can improve our service.

Information usage/sharing and disclosure

Any personal data relating to users will be used and recorded by us in accordance with current data protection legislation and this Privacy Policy. We will use the information users provide to:

  • Fulfil requests – for example registering for work, completing surveys and provision of information;
  • provide a personalised service when our websites are visited – e.g. by customising the content and/or layout of our pages for each individual user.

By using our websites and supplying your details to Connex Education, you consent to the company collecting and processing sensitive personal data supplied by you and disclosing this information to prospective employers and clients. Connex Education will also share these if required to do so by legal process or in response to a court order, or a legitimate request by a relevant authority.

Information storage/security

Information which users submit via our websites is sent to a computer in the United Kingdom. This is necessary to process the information and to send any information requested. Information submitted by users may be transferred by us to our other offices.

We place great importance on the security of all personally identifiable information related to our customers and users. We have security measures in place which aim to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of personal data under our control. Whilst we cannot ensure or guarantee that loss, misuse or alteration of data will not occur, we make our best efforts to prevent this.

Children’s privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Links with other sites

Our sites contain some links to other sites, including social media platforms.

We cannot be responsible for the privacy policies, practices and security of other websites even if they are accessed using links from our website(s). Similarly, we cannot be responsible for the privacy policies or practices of third party sites that may link to ours.

Cookies

Cookies make using websites faster and easier. Cookies are small files that are stored on your computer, handheld pc or mobile as you browse various web pages. We use cookies to make connex-education.com easy to use. (One of the most common uses of cookies is to keep track of who you are – without cookies our website could not remember you).

You can disable cookies via your browser’s cookie settings, but we do not recommend this – you would not be able to use much of the Connex website as its functions depend on cookies.

Changes to this Policy

Connex Education may modify the term of this Privacy Policy from time to time. If there are substantial or material changes to the way in which we use your personal data you will be contacted by email.
