About the Role
We are actively seeking a Reception Teaching Assistant to join a warm and inclusive two form entry school in Bromborough, Wirral. You will be providing 1:1 support to a student with autism. This long-term opportunity is tailored for individuals dedicated to supporting and guiding students in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This role is set to commence after the Easter holidays and continue until July 2025.
This role offers a consistent Monday to Friday working schedule, providing stability and continuity for both you and the students (8:30am – 3:30pm).
Assignment Details
As a Reception Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 support to a child with autism to engage him with his work and support his emotional and social well-being
- Collaborate closely with the teaching team to cultivate a positive and engaging learning environment.

Person Specification
- Level 2/3 qualification (CACHE, NVQ, BTEC, Childcare, NNEB, etc.) is desirable.
- GCSEs or equivalent Level 2 in Maths and English.
- Have experience of supporting pupils in a school or similar setting.
- Experience working with children with SEN (Special Education Needs) would be ideal.
- Good working knowledge of the primary curriculum, especially within EYFS.
- Have a current DBS on the update service or willing to provide a new one.
