SAFEGUARDING

Commitment

At Connex Education, we take our safeguarding responsibilities extremely seriously and prioritise the safety and well-being of children and young people above all else.

To ensure that our tutors and mentors are fit to work with children and young people, including those in vulnerable groups, we have implemented a rigorous screening process that surpasses national standards and legislation requirements. Our dedicated team pre-screens every applicant before interviews, and we only accept those who meet our high standards.

Any questions or concerns about safeguarding can be directed to our Designated Safeguarding Lead at dsl@connex-education.com. Our Deputy DSL is also available in any instance where our DSL is unavailable.

Schools can be completely confident in our service and our staff. We are very proud of our track record and standards, and we are never complacent when it comes to keeping children safe.

SAFEGUARDING

Training

At Connex Tutors we are passionate about safeguarding all children and young people’s right to a safe space to learn. To ensure these rights are upheld we ensure all staff complete comprehensive safeguarding training through our internal Learning and Development division, Connex Academy. This training is updated regularly in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education. Candidates are also required to complete safeguarding update training bi-annually unless statutory guidance changes and are always kept informed of other relevant safeguarding updates via email and/or phone.
