About the Role
Connex Education is working in partnership with a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Newham to recruit an experienced KS1 or KS2 Class Teacher for a full-time position starting in September 2025. This is a fixed-term contract for one academic year, with the potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess high-quality, engaging lessons in line with the KS1 or KS2 curriculum
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports all pupils to achieve their potential
- Work closely with the SEND team, support staff, and senior leadership to ensure all pupils are supported
- Use assessment for learning strategies to track progress and adapt teaching where needed
- Develop strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents, maintaining clear communication and consistency
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and events
Assignment Details
- Full-time teaching role
- Working hours: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- 1-year contract, starting September 2025
Person Specification
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- Experience teaching in KS1 or KS2 – essential
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks
- A commitment to inclusive and differentiated teaching practices
- Excellent classroom management skills and a reflective, proactive approach
- A current DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Connex
