About the Role
Connex Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive school in the Braintree area to recruit a passionate KS1 Class Teacher for a long-term supply position starting in September 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed teacher to join a nurturing school environment focused on early learning, development, and inclusion. The role is open to both experienced practitioners and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are ready to build a strong foundation in a supportive setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in line with the KS1 national curriculum
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Support pupils’ academic, emotional, and social development
- Collaborate with teaching assistants and colleagues to personalise learning
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, keeping clear and accurate records
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support pupil outcomes
Assignment Details
- Full-time, Monday to Friday (Term time only)
- Long-term supply role for the full academic year, with potential for permanent placement
Person Specification
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- Strong understanding of KS1 curriculum and teaching practices
- Warm, enthusiastic, and proactive approach to teaching
- Commitment to inclusion and child-centred learning
- A DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Connex
