About the Role
Connex Education is working with a friendly and community-focused primary school in the Colchester area to recruit a dedicated KS1 or KS2 Class Teacher for a long-term supply role starting in September 2025.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum for KS1 or KS2
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils can thrive
- Monitor pupil progress and contribute to ongoing assessment and reporting
- Work collaboratively with support staff, colleagues, and parents/carers to ensure pupil needs are met
- Promote high standards of behaviour, engagement, and learning across the class
Assignment Details
- Full-time, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
- Long-term supply role for the full academic year, with the potential for extension
Person Specification
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- Experience teaching in KS1 or KS2
- Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies
- A flexible and proactive approach to classroom management and planning
- A DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Connex
