Role: Year 2 Teaching Assistant

About the Role
Connex Education is working in partnership with a Primary School in Birkenhead to recruit a Teaching Assistant to work within Year 2. You’ll provide general classroom support and lead small group interventions in English, phonics and maths. We’re seeking someone dependable, proactive and experienced with Key Stage 1 learners.

Assignment Details
This role is full-time, Monday to Friday, (8:30am to 3:30pm), starting in September 2025 and continuing for the academic year.

Person Specification
- Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification; however, those with relevant school experience will be considered.
- GCSEs or equivalent Level 2 in Maths and English.
- Experience of supporting pupils in a school or similar setting.
- Current DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one through Connex.
