About the Role
Connex Education is working with a specialist secondary School in Crosby who are recruiting for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their team.
In this enriching role, you will support a pupil with Special Needs academically, socially and emotionally. As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant at this School, you will provide a learning environment to help meet their indiviual needs and will encouarge them to strive to be the best they can be as well as promoting independence.
The ideal candidate will be nurturing, patient and experienced in supporting children and young adults with additional needs

Assignment Details
This 1:1 Teaching Assistant role is full-time, Monday to Friday, (8:30am to 3:30pm), starting ASAP and continuing for the academic year.

Person Specification
- Experience of supporting pupils with Autism and additional needs.
- Be understanding and empathetic with the ability to help children self -regulate.
- Promoting life skills and empowering pupils by building confidence.
- Be engaging and using a person-centered approach.
- Be willing to provide personal care.
- Able to provide a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
