About the role
Connex Education is working in partnership with a number of welcoming Primary Schools in the Ilkeston (DE7) area, who are recruiting for KS2 Teachers to work on a day-to-day supply basis. This role will involve taking on full classroom responsibilities during cover days, including lesson delivery, maintaining a positive learning environment, and supporting pupils’ progress. No lesson planning will be required.

Assignment details
These roles are for 3–5 days a week, starting in September, and will run for the duration of the autumn term.

Person specification

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
-
Experience of working with children aged 4–7 in a UK primary school setting

Strong behaviour management skills
-
Ability to plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons

Knowledge of the KS1 national curriculum and phonics schemes such as Read, Write Inc or Letters and Sounds

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain a new one
