What You’ll Do
- Plan and deliver engaging 1:1 English, Maths or Science sessions tailored to each child’s strengths and needs.
- Assess progress, record outcomes and share feedback with parents and multi-agency professionals.
- Support students’ social and emotional development, addressing behaviour and wellbeing as needed.
- Supervise safety, build trust and ensure every session is a positive learning experience.
- Attend occasional virtual meetings and professional check-ins outside lesson hours.
Who You Are
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with at least 5 years’ experience teaching and assessing in primary and/or secondary settings.
- Minimum 5 years’ specialist SEN experience (autism, ADHD, dyslexia, PDA, ADD, dysgraphia, global developmental delay).
- At least 2 years’ experience supporting children who have experienced trauma.
- Proven ability to boost pupils’ confidence, self-esteem and engagement.
- Exceptional patience, creativity and skill in applying differentiated teaching techniques.
- Excellent communication, literacy and numeracy skills.
- Valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service, and willingness to obtain public liability and professional indemnity insurance.
