About the Role

Connex Education are seeking a reliable and practical Site Supervisor to work in a Mainstream Secondary School to ensure school buildings and grounds are secure, safe, and well-maintained. This is a hands-on role perfect for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards and contributing to a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Security & Safety: Opening/closing buildings, ensuring site security, and maintaining safe access for all users
• Building Maintenance: General upkeep, cleaning, minor repairs, and reporting maintenance issues
• Grounds Care: Maintaining external areas, removing litter and debris, keeping paths and entrances hazard-free
• General Duties: Moving furniture, receiving deliveries, preparing halls for events, and emptying bins
• Health & Safety: Identifying hazards, maintaining fire escape routes, and following safety procedures

Person Specification

• Practical maintenance skills and ability to work independently
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to health and safety
• Good communication skills for liaising with staff, contractors, and visitors
• Physical capability to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks up to 11 feet height
• Flexible approach to work with willingness to support lettings and events
• must be 21 and over 
• Hold a current DBS or be willing to apply or one

Additional Information

• Fire Marshall responsibilities may be required
• Full commitment to safeguarding procedures
• Regular liaison with contractors, suppliers, and school community
