SEND Teaching Assistant
£425-£500 per week depending on experience
Connex Education are seeking an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to work in a Pupil referral unit school located in Bolton Area, Greater Manchester.

This SEMH pupil referral unit for pupils year 1 to year 6 Pupils who have been excluded from mainstream schools. Ratio is student-teacher ratio of 3 : 1.
The school works with each individual pupil to identify gaps in learning to ensure that each child has the academic skills that they will need and use individual provision maps to help overcome any barriers to success. Each child also has a key worker acting as a point of regular contact between home and the centre.
Assignment details:
Monday to Friday , 5 days a week needed , on going regular supply
Hours 8.30 – 4pm
You will be providing support to children ages 5-11 years old with SEMH, ADHD, Autism previous experienced working in an Educational setting is required and early years’ experience is desirable.
Person specification:
- Experience of supporting children and young people struggle to manage their emotions, behaviour, and relationships, which can impact their learning and overall well-being. Be able to get to know pupils and get a good understanding of needs.
- Excellent communication skills, Empathetic and Patient , being self-regulated and calm. With a positive supportive attitude.
- Knowledge of social , emotional and mental health and understanding of SEMH issues, strategies, and interventions.
- Be able to interact well with pupils and staff and able to work well as a team.
- Able to provide a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
