About the Role
Connex Education is working with a Primary School in Birkenhead that is recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a child in Year 3 with SEN and challenging behaviour. You will be supporting the child throughout the school day, helping them to access the curriculum and engage with learning in a calm, structured, and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, proactive, and experienced in working with children with additional needs.

Assignment Details
This role is full-time, Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 3:30pm, starting after October half term and continuing for the academic year.

Person Specification
-
• Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification is desirable; however, those with relevant school experience will be considered.
• GCSEs or equivalent Level 2 in Maths and English.
• Experience of supporting pupils in a school or similar setting.
• Experience working with children with SEN.
• A patient, consistent, and supportive approach.
• Have a current DBS on the update service or be willing to provide a new one.
