Behaviour Mentor – South Birmingham (Kings Norton Area)
Connex Education Birmingham are searching for a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a large secondary school and sixth form located in the South Birmingham area, near Kings Norton.
Are you passionate about supporting pupils with additional behavioural or social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs? Do you thrive when working with young people on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to help them succeed both academically and personally?
The school’s Headteacher and Leadership Team are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Behaviour Mentor to provide tailored support to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. You will work closely with the SENCO and the wider pastoral team to help pupils re-engage with learning, develop positive behaviour strategies, and build confidence.

Position: Behaviour Mentor (KS3 – KS5)

Location: South Birmingham, near Kings Norton

Contract: Full-time from November 2025 until the end of the academic year

Responsibilities include:

Delivering 1:1 and small group mentoring sessions

Supporting behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
-
Following individual learning and behaviour support plans
-
Liaising with teachers, the SENCO, and external agencies
-
Demonstrating effective behaviour management techniques
