**About the role**
An EYFS Teaching Assistant supports teachers and students to ensure effective learning within the classroom. Their role involves helping with lesson planning and delivery, preparing teaching materials, and providing individual or small-group support to reinforce learning concepts. EYFS Teaching Assistants help maintain a positive, safe, and organized classroom environment, manage student behavior, and assist those with special educational needs or disabilities. They also supervise students during non-classroom activities such as lunch, recess, or school trips. Strong communication, patience, and teamwork are essential, as TAs work closely with teachers and other staff to foster student engagement and progress. While a high school diploma is typically required, additional qualifications or experience in education are often preferred. Ultimately, the EYFS Teaching Assistant plays a vital role in supporting both teachers and students, contributing to the smooth running of the classroom and the overall success of the school.
**Role Requirements**
- Level 3 Childcare Qualification
 - Needs to be available 5 days a week
 - A patient, nurturing, and empathetic approach
 - Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required
 - Strong communication skills, both with pupils and staff
 - A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children (an enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one through Connex Education, is required)
