About the role:
Connex Education are seeking SEND Teaching Assistant to work on a flexible basis at a SEND School in Sefton who have 2 sites. The School caters for pupils aged 5-16 with social, emotional, mental health difficultes alongside ADHD, Autism, Foetal Alcohol Syndrome and Learning difficulties.

This supportive School offers an exciting curriculum to help all pupils have the best opportunities. As a SEND Teaching Assitant at this School you will support emotional regulation and provide pastoral care.
Assignment details:
At the 2 sites we have day to day sickness cover and long term placements. The hours are 8.15am until 3.15pm. There is an opportunity for a direct contract for the right candidate.

Person specification:
- Experience of supporting children or young adults with special needs in a School or residential setting
- Be able to manage behaviour well and help children self regulate.
- Able to communicate well and be patient.
- Be able to interact well with pupils and staff and able to work well as a team.
- Able to provide a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
