SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time (Spring Term)

£425 – £475 per week depending on experience

Connex Education is proud to be supporting a wonderful infant school in the NG9 area of Nottingham as they seek a dedicated SEN-focused Teaching Assistant to join their team from January for the full Spring term.
This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, working closely with pupils who have Special Educational Needs. You will provide 1:1 support, lead and assist with small-group interventions, and work both within the school’s specialist SEN hub and in the classroom alongside class teachers.
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing tailored 1:1 support to children with a range of SEN needs
- Supporting small-group learning and delivering targeted interventions
- Working collaboratively with teachers and the SENCO to ensure pupils thrive
- Helping to create a nurturing, inclusive and positive learning environment
- Assisting with routines, smooth transitions, and personalised support plans
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working with children with SEN (school-based preferred)
- A patient, caring and proactive approach
- Strong communication skills
- A genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential
