About the Role.
Connex Education are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work in a SEND school in Runcorn. This is to cover a long term sickness and will commence mid January 2026.
About the School.
The school cater for children in Key Stage 1 whos primary need is Severe Learning Difficulties – some students may have further needs such as severe language and commincation needs and Pica. The staff here provide specialised education tailored to each students needs and abilities. The school is well equipped with resources and equipment to ensure students are stimulated, happy and sensory / emotional needs are met.
Assignment Details.
The school are looking for someone who can commit Monday – Friday, but will also consider part time / job shares for suitable applicants.

Person Specification.
- Experience of working with SEND or Early Years in either a school or residential setting
- Be willing to provide all aspects of personal care
- Have strong de-escalation skills
- Be a team player, working with class teachers and support staff to deliver appropiate lesson plans
- Have confidence or experience when working in accordance to Education Health Care Plans (EHCP)
- Have a full enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for a new one
