Connex Education is partnering with a Primary School in Birkenhead to recruit a Year 5 Teaching Assistant. The role involves 1:1 support for a child with SEND as well as helping out providing general classroom support and working with small groups of children with additional needs to boost their learning. We are looking for someone dependable, proactive, and experienced in supporting Key Stage 2 pupils with SEND.

Assignment Details
This role runs Monday to Friday (8:30am–3:30pm). The position starts Tuesday 6th January 2026 and is likely to continue long term for the right person.

Person Specification
Qualifications
- A Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification is desirable; however, those with relevant school experience will also be considered.
- GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above for both) or equivalent Level 2.
- Current DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one through Connex.
