About the role
Connex Education is in partnership with an amazing SEND School within the Sheffield area to recruit a SEND Teaching Assistant providing class and 1:1 support
You will have strong teamwork skills as the school in question has a key focus on teamwork and collaboration to be able to achieve student and school goals. This school is at the heart of a thriving and creative community, and you will need to meet high standards and match the ambitious expectations alongside the staff. A key ethos and aim for this school are to ensure all learners are provided focused support to ensure excellent progress is made.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a dynamic and inclusive classroom setting. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other staff to create a positive learning environment that fosters the academic, social, and emotional development of each child. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with diverse needs.

Person Specification
- Experience working in an educational environment with children aged between 4 and 19 years.
- Be willing to support on a 1:1 basis or work in small groups with children
- Have behaviour management skills
- Knowledge of Phonics and Read, Write Inc
- Be organised and reliable
- Have a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to process a new one
- Willing to go the extra mile!
