Supply Teaching Assistant – Primary School
Ellesmere Port | Full-Time (5 Days per Week) | All Year Groups
Are you passionate about supporting children’s learning and development? We’re looking for a dedicated and adaptable Supply Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant primary school community in Ellesmere Port.
About the Role
You’ll work across all year groups from Reception to Year 6, providing essential support to classroom teachers and helping pupils achieve their full potential. This is a full-time position offering consistent work five days a week throughout term time.
As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you’ll be working in different classrooms, adapting to various teaching styles and supporting children with diverse learning needs. Each day brings new opportunities to make a positive impact on young learners’ educational journeys.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils’ learning across all curriculum areas
- Assist with classroom activities and small group work
- Help create an engaging and inclusive learning environment
- Provide individual support to pupils as directed by the class teacher
- Contribute to pupils’ social and emotional development
- Adapt quickly to different classroom environments and teaching approaches
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience working with primary-aged children (essential)
- A genuine passion for education and child development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt to different classroom settings
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude
- Team player who can also work independently
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
