Assignment Details
We are seeking Qualified Teachers (QTS) to work on a day-to-day supply basis across secondary schools in Derby City Centre and nearby areas.
This flexible role is ideal for teachers looking for short-term, ad-hoc cover with the opportunity to work across different school settings. Assignments may vary from single-day cover to short-term placements, depending on school needs.
Responsibilities may include:
- Delivering pre-planned lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 where applicable)
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively
- Supporting students’ learning and engagement
- Adapting quickly to different school environments
- Working hours are Monday to Friday during standard school hours, with flexibility to suit your availability.

As a Successful Qualified Teacher, You Will Need to:
- Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching at secondary level
- Be confident managing classes across a range of abilities
- Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be flexible, reliable, and adaptable
- Be able to commute to Derby City Centre and surrounding areas
