Assignment Details

This full-time, long-term assignment will begin as soon as all compliance checks are completed and is expected to continue for the foreseeable future. The school is seeking a qualified SEND Teacher (QTS) to work with pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, SEMH, and complex learning difficulties.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons, assessing progress, managing behaviour positively, and working collaboratively with support staff and external professionals. The role runs Monday to Friday during standard school hours.

As a Successful Qualified SEND Teacher, You Will Need to:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

  • Have experience teaching pupils with SEND (school-based or specialist setting preferred)

  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management and de-escalation strategies

  • Be confident in planning and delivering differentiated lessons

  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Be willing to engage in ongoing professional development

  • Be adaptable, resilient, and able to work effectively under pressure

  • Be enthusiastic, patient, and committed to inclusive education

  • Be able to commute to Derby and surrounding areas
