Connex Education are looking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant (ASD – KS1)
Connex Education are recruiting on behalf of a large, inclusive and well-resourced primary school in Waltham Forest with an extensive SEN provision, including a dedicated ARP and high numbers of EHCP pupils.
This role involves supporting a KS1 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) on a 1:1 basis, including personal care responsibilities.
This is a highly supportive school with experienced SEN leadership and strong behaviour systems in place. If you are patient, consistent and confident supporting complex needs — this is a brilliant setting to develop your SEN career.
The Role:
- Provide 1:1 support to a KS1 pupil with ASD
- Deliver structured interventions following EHCP targets
- Support communication, emotional regulation and engagement
- Provide personal care support where required
- Work closely with the SENCO and class teacher
- Maintain accurate progress records

You Must Have:
- Experience supporting children with ASD
- Confidence with personal care
- Understanding of EHCP targets
- Strong communication skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain)
