About the Role

Connex Education are working with a fantastic primary school in South Liverpool who are seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their KS1 team. This role will be based in their Year 2 class, helping to support a child with additional needs. 

The successful candidate will have full-time availability, confident working with pupils who have ASD and challenging behaviours, and also available immediately for the duration of the academic year. This role has an option to go permanent for the right person. 

This is a fantastic school with an excellent senior leadership team. They are seeking a teaching assistant who is passionate and interactive, someone who will show initative in the role and help promote high quality learning. 

Assignment Details

  • Immediate start, Wavertree area 
  • Year 2 SEN Role 
  • Experience of 1:1 essential 
  • Full time role – Monday to Friday, 8:30-3:30 
  • Opportunities to go permanent direct with the school

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification is desirable; however, those with relevant school experience will also be considered.
  • GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above for both) or equivalent Level 2.
  • Current DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one through Connex.

  • Observant and reflective, able to recognise and respond to changes in behaviour or wellbeing.
  • Awareness of safeguarding, confidentiality, and professional boundaries in a school setting.
