Job Title: Teacher of English Literature
Location: Littleover
Start Date April 2026
Duration: TBC (Min of one term, longer expected)
Shift Pattern: Full Time

School Details:
This is a larger than average sized secondary school serving the Littleover location of Derby. The school is graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted, praising elements such as leadership and improvement of attainment levels.
Vacancy Details:
- Teacher of English Literature
- Full time hours
- Lesson planning, lesson delivery and marking of pupils work required
- Working with KS3 and KS4 pupils
Candidate Requirements:
To be considered for this role candidates must have / be able to demonstrate:
- Holding Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) proven by providing your Teacher Reference Number
- Experience of working as a teacher in a British curriculum school for a minimum of two terms since obtaining QTS.
- Experience of teaching English Literature is mandatory. Teachers of English Language, or English as a Foreign Language only will not be considered for this role
- Full enhanced DBS certificate
- Completion of the Connex Education Onboarding Process
- The ability to show a genuine desire and passion for working as a teacher.
- A minimum of 2 school based references
