About the Schools
The secondary school is based in Redcar and is a busy, ambitious environment with high expectations for both staff and students. You’ll be teaching Maths across multiple year groups, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons in the absence of a permanent class teacher. Subject knowledge and the ability to maintain strong classroom standards are central to this role — the school needs someone who can hit the ground running, build positive relationships with pupils, and sustain a purposeful learning environment every lesson.
Assignment Details
- Long-term placement — ongoing role based at one Redcar secondary school
- Immediate start — the role is available now and ready to begin straight away
- Full-time, Monday to Friday — consistent timetable with the opportunity to become an integral part of the school
Person Specification
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Mathematics — essential
- Experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4 in a secondary school setting
- Ability to plan, deliver, and assess engaging Maths lessons that meet the needs of all learners
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive, professional relationships with students
- Experience with GCSE Maths preparation and familiarity with current exam board specifications is desirable
- Current DBS on the update service, or willing to apply for a new one
