About the Role
Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in a primary school setting?
Connex Education is seeking experienced Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Netherton and the surrounding Sefton area. We work in partnership with a number of excellent primary schools in the area, and with consistent demand for reliable, skilled TAs, we have a steady stream of bookings available. Whether you’re looking for day-to-day supply work or a longer-term placement, we’d love to hear from you.
Assignment Details
The following are the types of bookings that may be available to you:
- Full-time general classroom support across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
- Day-to-day supply cover for full and half days.
- Long-term 1:1 support for pupils with special educational needs.
- Split roles — supporting different year groups throughout the day.
- Part-time bookings to suit your availability.
- Temp-to-perm roles — with the opportunity to transition onto a school’s own contract.

Person Specification
- Experience supporting children in a primary school setting is essential.
- A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive, patient, and flexible approach.
- Current DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one through Connex.
