Connex Education are looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full time basis.
The school I am working with provide support and education to students with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Complex Learning Needs aged between 2 and 19. The school deliver a bespoke curriculum to meet students academic, physical and emotional needs. Class sizes are small with between 6 and 11 students in each classroom and the school is well equipped with purpose build outdoor areas and a state of the art sensory room. Staff are committed to providing outstanding educational opportunities to students and work collectively as a team to do so, ensuring idpendence is promoted and that all students have a means to communicate.
The school are looking for a full time Teaching Assistant to start after the May half term to work in KS1. The role will last the remainder of the academic year and has the potential to turn permanent.

Person Specification:
- Have a strong interest in working with SLD
- Experienced working with SEND in either a residential or educational setting
- Have strong behaviour management skills
- Be adaptable, resilient and patient
- Have a DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for a new one
