About the Role
Connex Education is working with a number of primary schools across Chaddesden and the wider DE21 area who are looking to recruit Supply Teaching Assistants to support on a flexible basis.
With schools entering the final half term of the academic year, demand for dependable Teaching Assistants continues across local settings. Opportunities are available for those seeking immediate work, while many schools are also beginning to plan ahead for September support staff requirements.
You will be supporting across EYFS, KS1, and KS2, helping pupils remain engaged, develop confidence, and access learning within a positive classroom environment.
Key responsibilities include:
• Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
• Assisting the class teacher with lesson activities and classroom routines
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement within lessons
• Helping pupils stay focused and involved throughout the school day

Person Specification
• Recent UK-based experience working with children (school-based preferred)
• Comfortable supporting pupils one-to-one and in small groups
• Strong communication skills and a patient, professional approach
• Reliable and able to adapt to different school environments
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
