About the Role
Connex Education is in partnership with a vibrant Primary School within the Melton Mowbray area to recruit a SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support on a regular relief cover basis starting in the September term.
You will have strong teamwork skills, as the school has a key focus on collaboration to achieve both student and school goals. This school is at the heart of a thriving and creative community, and successful candidates will be expected to meet high standards and support the ambitious expectations of staff and governors alike. A key aim of the school is to ensure all learners receive focused support to help them make excellent progress.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and support staff to create a positive learning environment that promotes the academic, social, and emotional development of each child.

Person Specification

Experience working within an educational setting with children aged 4–11 years
-
Willingness to support children on a 1:1 basis or within small groups
-
Strong behaviour management skills
-
Knowledge of Phonics and Read Write Inc desirable
-
Organised, reliable, and proactive
-
Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for a new one

A positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile
