About the role:
Connex Education are working with a SEND School in South Liverpool to recruit a SEMH Teacher to join their team in the new academic year- September 2026.
This role will consist of teaching KS3 pupils with Social, emotional, mental health with both externalizing and internalizing behaviours. Pupils struggles regulating their emotions and may display challenging behaviour.
You will be teaching the primary curriculum.

They have high expectations of pupils , striving through personalised pathways to engage and challenge them to help them succeed. As a SEND Teaching Assistant at this School you will help the pupil to overcome barriers to learning and social interaction as well as promoting independence.
Assignment details:
This is a full-time role and will commence on 2nd September and will consist of working Monday-Friday 8.30am until 3.30pm. You may be asked to attend staff meeting and twilight sessions on some days.
You will be invited to attend an interview and a look around the School. There will be opportunities to work before September to meet the pupils and staff . This is ideal for a SEND Teaching Assistant who has a passion for supporting pupils with Special Needs.

Person specification:
• Experience of teaching pupils with SEMH.
• Teach the primary curriculum tailored to meet the needs and abilities of each pupil.
• Able to build trusting relationships and providing consistent routines.
• Be willing to work alongside class TA’s to provide a calm and engaging learning environment where pupils can thrive.
• Able to provide a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
