About the role:

Connex Education are working in partnership with a SEND School in Southport who are recruiting for 3 experienced and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to join their team in September 2026. They have both part-time and full-time vacancies available on a temp to perm basis.

These roles involve supporting 3-19 year olds with complex needs.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant at this School you will be supporting pupils using a total communication approach, this includes working supporting on an individual basis, in small groups and as a whole class. You will also be required to support their pastoral, behavioural and personal care needs.

Assignment details:

This is a full-time role and will commence on 2nd September and will consist of working Monday-Friday 8.30am until 3.30pm either on a full-time or part-time basis. There are direct contracts available after 1 term.

You will be invited to attend an interview and a look around the School. There will be opportunities to work before September to meet the pupils and staff . This is ideal for a support worker looking to transition into Education as a SEND Teaching Assistant.

Person specification:

•             Experience of supporting children or young adults with complex needs

•             Demonstrating a positive attitude, helping pupils to grow and achieve

•             Be able to support pupils medical needs including administrating medication

•             Be willing to support swimming in their hydrotherapy sessions

•             Able to provide a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
