The Role

As a Secondary Teacher, you will be pivotal in creating and delivering engaging learning experiences that help students blossom academically, socially and emotionally.

Depending on the assignment, your responsibilities may include:

  • Delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
  • Creating a positive and supportive learning environment
  • Supporting pupil progress and attainment
  • Managing behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
  • Undertaking planning, preparation and assessment in long-term positions

Contributing to the wider school community where required

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Recent experience teaching within a UK secondary school
  • Experience teaching within a secondary school
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum
  • A commitment to supporting pupil achievement and wellbeing
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
