About the role
Connex Education is working with a mainstream infant school in Dewsbury helping them recruit a SEND TA for their SEN provision. This role is to start September 2026 and is full time until July 2027. You will work with children with different SEN needs inclusing autism, ADHD and challenging behaviour
About the school
This welcoming primary school is located in Dewsbury and has supportive SLT. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting children in EYFS – Year 2 with SEN needs. The school aims to develop children’s social and emotional skills. Each member of the school shares their expertise and knowledge to promote inclusion.
Assignment Details
The role is to start in September 2026 – July 2027 with the opportunity to become permanent or the right candidate.

Person Specification
- Have a current DBS on the update service or willing to provide a new one
- Have Maths and English to GCSE Grade C or equivalent
- Hold previous experience of working with children and young people
- Have experience of supporting pupils with SEN needs
