The Role

As a Secondary Teacher, you will play a key role in creating engaging learning experiences that enable students to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

Depending on the assignment, your responsibilities may include:

• Delivering engaging, inclusive and well-structured lessons
• Creating a positive, supportive and inspiring learning environment
• Supporting pupil progress, achievement and attainment
• Managing behaviour effectively in line with school policies
• Building positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents
• Undertaking planning, preparation and assessment for long-term positions
• Contributing to the wider school community where required

For most day-to-day supply roles, lesson planning is not required, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality teaching and making a positive impact in the classroom.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Recent experience teaching within a UK secondary school
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Good knowledge of the National Curriculum
• A commitment to supporting pupil achievement and wellbeing
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
