Connex Education is proud to be working with a welcoming and forward-thinking primary academy seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with pupils who require additional support, helping them to access learning, develop confidence and celebrate their individual successes.

The school has a strong inclusive ethos and believes that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive. Staff work collaboratively to create engaging learning experiences while providing tailored support for pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.

Situated within a friendly village community, the school enjoys excellent transport links and is within easy reach of Mansfield, Newark, Ollerton, Southwell and surrounding areas, making it an ideal location for candidates travelling from across Nottinghamshire.

 

Vacancy Details

• Experience working with children with SEND in a school or similar setting is desirable

• Understanding of Autism, ADHD, SEMH or other additional needs is advantageous

• Calm, patient and nurturing approach

• Ability to build positive and trusting relationships

• Confident supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups

• Flexible, reliable and committed to achieving positive outcomes

• A genuine passion for inclusive education
