About the Role 

 This school are looking for experienced TA’s to work with their secondary SEN pupils. They are looking for the following roles:

– Full-time Teaching Assistant starting Monday 7th September 

-Full-time Teaching Assistant starting Monday 28th September 

-Part-time Teaching Assiatant for Mondays and Tuesdays starting Monday 7th September.

All roles would be for the full academic year. 

 

About the school:

This is an inclsuive mainstream secondary school situated in Alvaston. All SEN pupils at this school have an EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) to support their staff in managing daily needs. Pupils here may have: Austism spectrum disorder, moderate or severe learning difficulties, emotional, social and/or mental health needs or complex needs such as phsyical disability or medical conditions. Staff work to reduce barriers to learning and create a safe and happy environment for all pupils.

Person Specification 

 

To be considered for this role candidates must have / be able to demonstrate:   

 

  • A L2/L3 Teaching Assistant qualification and/or exceptional relatable experience of working as a Teaching Assistant. 

  • Experience of working as a teaching Assistantin a British curriculum school for a minimum of two terms. 

  • Full enhanced DBS certificate. 

  • Completion of the Connex Education Onboarding Process. 

  • The ability to show a genuine desire and passion for working as a teaching assistant. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
