Teaching Assistant – September Start
Warrington | Full-Time | Temporary (Until Christmas, with potential to extend)
Connex Education is recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Church of England Primary School in Warrington from September.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work across two key stages, supporting pupils in a varied and rewarding role.
The Role
This full-time position is split across the week:
- 3 days in Reception – Supporting the class teacher as a General Teaching Assistant, helping to create a positive, engaging learning environment for young learners.
- 2 days in Year 4 – Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with behavioural needs. The child attends an Alternative Provision on the remaining days, so consistency, patience and resilience are key. This aspect of the role can be challenging but offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference to a child’s educational journey.
The role is initially until Christmas, with the possibility of continuing beyond this for the right candidate.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Has previous experience working with children in a school setting.
- Is confident supporting pupils with additional or behavioural needs.
- Is patient, calm and able to build positive relationships.
- Can adapt to working across different age groups.
- Is reliable, proactive and committed to supporting children’s learning and wellbeing.
