SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Handsworth, Birmingham
Pay: £95 – £110 per day
Contract: Full-time | Monday to Friday | Term Time Only
Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and helping them achieve their full potential? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary academy in Handsworth.

The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.

Support children with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and mental health needs.

Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised learning and intervention programmes.

Encourage positive behaviour, independence and confidence.

Help create an engaging, safe and inclusive learning environment.

Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
The Ideal Candidate
You will:

Have previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting.

Be patient, caring and adaptable.

Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Be committed to helping every child achieve their potential.

Work effectively as part of a team while also using your own initiative.
