Role:Year 3 Teaching Assistant

Location: Southport

Salary: £95-£100 per day

Working Days: Part-Time (8.30am-3.30pm)

Start Date: September 2026 (3 days a week)

Connex Education is looking for a calm, adaptable teaching assistant who has experience supporting children with special educational needs. Experience supporting children in primary schools is essential for this role.

About the School:

Connex Education have a long-standing working partnership with this amazing primary school located in Southport. The school have a great tradition of taking staff on contract, and a temp-to-perm contract will be offered to a suitable candidate for the role.

About the role:

As a primary teaching assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to provide group support to children in Year 3. The role will require interventions inside and outside the classroom for children with additional needs. Working days will be Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification is desirable.
  • Experience supporting children with SEN in a primary classroom is essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to adapt to different learning needs and experience providing group interventions is desirable.
  • It is essential that you have a DBS on the update service, or willing to obtain a new one through Connex.
