About the Role
Connex Education are recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Design and Technology Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school on a full-time basis. This role involves planning and delivering engaging Design and Technology lessons that inspire creativity, develop practical skills, and encourage problem-solving across Key Stages. The successful candidate will be passionate about their subject, able to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, and committed to supporting students of all abilities to achieve their full potential while maintaining high standards of teaching, learning, and classroom safety.
About the School
This specialist SEND school has built a strong reputation for providing a supportive environment for both pupils and staff. The school is seeking a Design & Technology Teacher who is proactive, adaptable and confident in responding to the varying needs of pupils. Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND, or experience managing challenging behaviour, would be highly advantageous. Person Specification
To be considered for this role candidates must have / be able to demonstrate:
- Holding Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) proven by providing your Teacher Reference Number
- Experience of working as a teacher in a British curriculum school for a minimum of two terms since obtaining QTS.
- Full enhanced DBS certificate
- Completion of the Connex Education Onboarding Process
- The ability to show a genuine desire and passion for working as a teacher.
- A minimum of 2 school based references
